Adult-Only Identification Service
Bird Lens is a bird identification service intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and users must not upload media centered on minors when that media is not necessary to identify a bird.
We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexualized content involving minors, sextortion, trafficking, or any attempt to use Bird Lens to sexualize, identify, contact, exploit, or endanger a child.
Zero Tolerance for CSAE and CSAM
Bird Lens has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Prohibited content or behavior may lead to removal of content, restriction of access, preservation of relevant information where legally appropriate, and reporting to the relevant authorities.
- Do not upload photos or recordings centered on minors when they are unrelated to bird identification.
- Do not request sexual or exploitative content involving minors.
- Do not use Bird Lens to groom, coerce, threaten, extort, or contact a minor.
- Do not share, request, generate, or describe CSAM or CSAE content.
Reporting Child Safety Concerns
Users can report child safety concerns through the Bird Lens app by opening Settings and selecting Support. Reports can also be sent directly to our safety contact email.

Review and Escalation
We review child safety reports as a priority. When we identify content or behavior that appears to involve CSAM, CSAE, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or another child safety threat, we take action appropriate to the situation and applicable law.
- We remove or restrict prohibited content and abusive use where applicable.
- We may preserve relevant records where necessary for safety or legal compliance.
- We report confirmed or suspected CSAM and serious child safety threats to appropriate regional or national authorities where required or permitted by law.
- We cooperate with valid legal requests from law enforcement and safety authorities.
Preventive Standards
Bird Lens is designed for adult bird identification and applies safety boundaries around uploaded media, observation details, prompts, and generated outputs. Our standards include:
- Rejecting requests involving sexual content with minors or age-ambiguous people.
- Disallowing analysis of people that is unrelated to bird identification.
- Blocking assistance for coercion, harassment, stalking, threats, or exploitation.
- Encouraging users to crop or redact unnecessary personal information before upload.
- Providing support channels for safety concerns and policy questions.
